About Agnes Elizabeth 

Hi, I’m Agnes Widfeldt—though most people call me Aggie. I’m originally from Invercargill, so you’ll hear those signature rolled R’s!
For years, after attending countless weddings and funerals for family and friends, I found myself thinking, “I’d love to be a celebrant.” In 2023, I finally followed that calling, completing my training at the New Zealand Celebrants School and becoming a Registered New Zealand Civil Union and Marriage Celebrant.
Alongside my celebrant work, I’m also a teacher, now enjoying the flexibility of relief teaching. This freedom allows me to juggle my other passions, including acting (for film and TV), stand-up comedy, and MCing.
Years as an Officer in the New Zealand Cadet Forces has equipped me with invaluable skills in leadership, problem-solving, and public speaking—all of which I bring to every ceremony I create.
I live in beautiful Titahi Bay with my husband, Nic. We’re high school sweethearts, celebrating 20 years together this year and 13 years of marriage. Our wedding was a DIY masterpiece—a true celebration of us. We couldn’t decide who to invite, so we simply invited everyone! With 150 guests for the meal and 200 at the ceremony, it was an epic day filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. That’s exactly the feeling I want to create for your special day.
Nic and I are proud parents to our smart, spirited daughter, Lotta, who’s 8 years old. She’s our one and only, and you might meet her at one of our meetings—she’s wonderfully well-behaved and loves crafting quietly for hours. Our family also includes a cheeky dog named Loki, two cats (Athena and Nym), and two rabbits (Hazel and Elmo).

​One of the greatest joys of being a celebrant and entertainer is writing—whether it’s a joke to spark laughter, words that capture a couple’s love, or a tribute that honors a life in all its uniqueness. I love working with people to ensure their voices and stories shine through. Every story deserves to be told with warmth, authenticity, and respect. No matter who you are or who you love, I’m here to craft a ceremony that reflects your journey and creating lasting memories.
