Final Goodbyes
As a funeral celebrant I strive to ensure every farewell I create is thoughtfully tailored to reflect the person at its heart. The format and tone are always guided by the wishes of the family and loved ones. However I am here to help you through this difficult time. I believe everyone’s life deserves to be remembered in a way that feels meaningful, personal, and true. Whilst also offering space for grief to unfold in whatever way it needs to. I am available for funerals, memorials, burials, cremations, and unveilings.
I am also honoured to support individuals planning their own farewells.
Feel free to contact me directly or request me through your funeral director.
What does the process of planning a funeral or memorial look like?
I will come to your home or a place you feel safe and comfortable. We will sit down and discuss your loved ones life and what made them unique and together we piece together a ceremony that celebrates and tells the story of their life.
From there, I go home and draft a script, in which I will make sure you get the chance to make any changes that are needed.
I will then liaise with the funeral director and ensure that they have a run sheet of all the proceedings that will happen during the ceremony.
Funerals and memorials are extremely important way to process grief. If you do not feel up to having a funeral the week or two after your loved ones death. I would suggest waiting a month or two and then plan a memorial service for you loved one. This usually means the funeral directors are no longer involved. If you wish to have help to plan all elements of a memorial service for a loved one, I can help guide or even do all the heavy lifting for you.
